Donating Freebies- Shadow of His Wings Orphanage in Need!

Other than saving tons of money, another benefit of being a couponer is being able to help others using your abilities and skills in the world of getting freebies!  I love passing on bottles of shampoo to my sisters or donating items from my stockpile to those in need.  If you are interested in donating some necessities to a friend of mine, Cathy, that can get the donations to an orphanage in need by personally delivering the donations, read her info below and get in contact with her!  I will be keeping my eyes and ears open for freebies and try to do some donation alerts when I come across some good deals to help this cause!

Cathy's Info:

"Many of you know that I will be returning for the 3rd time this summer to Shadow of His Wings orphanage in Guatemala....  (READ ON BY CLICKING BELOW on "Read more"...)
I encourage you all to go the  Shadow of His Wings website to see what it's all about, what they do there, but I will tell you that it is a home primarily for girls, although there are now 2 or 3 boys, who either have lost both parents, have a parent who can't care for them, but most have been in abusive situations.
Each year we go down and do a multitude of projects for the home and the community, and we take lots of things they need just in the course of living everyday life.  This is a great help to them to defray the costs of school supplies, clothing, and toiletries.
You are on this distribution list because you are looking for ways to stretch your dollars, and when you can find something free it's awesome!  So I'm asking for those of you who are willing to help, if you run across that free shampoo deal or free toothpaste deal to get two and give one of them to us to take to these kids.  We aren't asking anyone to take on the burden of taking care of all the kids, but if several were able to get 2 or 3 things extra it would go a long way.
Things to be looking for would be soaps, shampoo(not conditioner), sanitary pads(not tampons), cold/allergy meds, multiple vitamins(they use a ton of them), band aids, or most anything you use a lot of around your house along those lines.
Some of you may be able to donate a few dollars, and that would also be most welcomed.  There are things we end up buying down there just because of the size or weight issues related to packing it to take.  We buy food each year down there to give to the needy, and this year we are planning on going to an area which involves a mountain climb to get to and take food to them, maybe even some live chickens!!  Apparently the last group who took chickens had to convince them to let the chickens lay eggs to provide food every day as opposed to eating the chicken and be done with it!!!
If you do want to donate money, let me know so I can tell you how to do it and get advantage of the tax deduction.
Thanks guys for taking the time to read this.  Most importantly we want your prayers for all aspects of the trip: preparations, donations, travel, security, health, and sharing with the Guatemalan people.
Blessings,
Cathy
